Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Bangkok Menam Riverside

The location was perfect. Outside the hotel was a street full of shops, grocery stores, Thai massages, and much more. The Asiatique shopping mall was only a 10-minute walk away, and the hotel provided a free ferry to the main transportation hub on the river. We had the suite, and the living room with a desk was excellent. Excellent room service and housekeeping. The beds were very comfortable. All in all, it is a great hotel.

The Hotel is perfectly located in order to visit and explore Bangkok. We asked for late check-out which was possible with and additional fee. The personal was helpful. Bathroom was huge and an added value to the Room.

Good quality fixtures and fittings, comfy bed, spacious room & great view of the river. The hotel is clean and well placed for Asiatique. Iconsiam is accessible via the free hotel river taxi to Sathorn Pier and then taking the boat (4 Bht/10p!) over to Iconsiam. Breakfast was excellent-good choice and the bonus is that you can eat this out on the veranda! Loved it-perfect for us.🥰

The location is fantastic. We would stay again. It’s right on the river with a great view of life. We enjoyed sunset with a cool breeze on their airy deck. There is a Complimentary boat shuttle to the sky train and it’s only a short walk to Asiatique for wider food options. The local shops directly outside the hotel provide massage, laundry and some clothing retail. There is a very popular dim sum outlet on the main road walking south within a few minutes. The pool is nicely landscaped and there were shade and sun options. The time of year will affect the amount of direct sun available at the pool due to the height and orientation of the building. The breakfast provided a good range of options, and is comparable to similar price point hotels, although having only one egg station causes unnecessary delays. We missed mangoes and the supply of papaya was intermittent but we enjoyed the rambutan and lychees. They have multiple coffee machines which helps reduce queuing. We ate a la carte dinner and ate the seafood buffet. This is appropriately priced and there was a good range on offer. The buffet starts at 5, we found it was busy early and best not to arrive later than 7.30 for a better selection. The additional Asian dishes on offer weren’t comparable in variety or quality to other hotel buffets we have experienced. The a la carte buffet dessert option is surprisingly limited. The welcome towels and drinks/snacks are self selected but when we arrived in the afternoon the supply hadn’t been replenished so this wasn’t a quality welcome. Check in was efficient and are room was ready early- thank you.

Within walking distance to Asiatique where there is a variety of restaurants, cafes and shopping as well as being located along the river makes this hotel an ideal location to be based when in Bangkok. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service, the pool area was great and a welcoming lobby area meant we could sit in comfort. Our room was clean and well laid out with plenty of room to spread out our luggage. Fresh water supplied everyday was greatly appreciated. We stayed over New Years Eve and attended the Gala Dinner which was absolutely amazing as were the fireworks display. Highly recommend staying at Ramada Riverside as we had a wonderful time and experience.
